Prayer Request

This is a prayer request for a family that is from my home church down in Indiana (gosh, I'm still calling that my home church....I've lived here for over 3 years now!)

In April 2005, Jeff Ake, was taken hostage as he was doing work at a water treament plant in Baghdad. Soon after he was taken hostage, he was shown on national television with guns pointing at his head. (I was running on a treadmill when I saw it and nearly fell on my face). After that initial contact from the captors, the family has not heard anything more. They have no idea of Jeff's whereabouts and whether or not he is alive.

Jeff is married and has 4 school-age children. Very recently, it has been announced that his wife has had to declare bankruptcy on his business and that she is having to sell their house. I cannot imagine what this woman has had to deal with emotionally in the past nearly 2 years, and now to also be struggling financially!

Pray for answers on Jeff's life. Pray for his wife as she tries to be strong for her children and make decisions. Pray for his children who have been without their father for this time period. Pray for financial support for this family. Pray for them to hold unswervingly to their faith and to continue to trust God during this time.

A couple people have requested info on how to support the Ake family financially. Here's the info:
Tax-deductible contributions to assist the Ake family can be made to:
