Update...

Not much to report these days, but it's been awhile, so we thought an update was due.

Big news: I bought a loaf of bread for the first time in 3 years or so. No, we haven't been practicing any sort of special diet where we've sworn off bread. Some people from our old church have supplied us every week or two with a bag of bread products (and they've even continued doing this for the last year even though we are no longer at their church). They pick them up from some organization that gets rid of bread products that are getting close to it's "sell by" date. And it's good bread! Usually like $3.50 a loaf. We like the grainy, textured bread, so we've loved this. They've also given us bagels, english muffins, pizza crusts, buns, etc. of which we still have some in our freezers. But we had run out of bread. This has been a huge blessing to us, but alas, all good things must come to an end I guess.

Below are a couple of pictures from Landon's 1-year photos. I thought long and hard about 2 outfits for him to wear, and then most of my favorites were ones where he was just in his diaper. We had them taken at JC Penney. I had an excellent coupon (of course!). I'm still debating if I'll use them again. I was happy with the pictures, but I wasn't crazy about some of their process. For example, they make you order pictures right then and there about a 1/2 an hour after they are taken (if you want good prices). How are you supposed to look at a computer screen and narrow down what pictures you want to order (out of like 50) when your child is walking all over the place and has no desire to sit still?!

Landon is more and more fun as the days go on. He walks like a pro these days and is still crazily happy. Sometimes we just sit back and watch him and wonder what he's happily babbling about and carrying on over. He outrageously laughs sometimes when I say the color "blue" and then gets a kick out of himself trying to say it. He's also drooling like a dog these days. He still really only has his 2 bottom teeth, although has been working on his top ones for quite awhile and we can see them poking through. Really, drooling like a dog though. Sometimes I have to change his shirt because it is ridiculously wet.

We have an ultrasound scheduled for Friday, February 27. And if the baby cooperates, we'll find out whether this is a boy or a girl. We'll just have to wait and see!
