We're surviving and thriving!

I'm thankful that newborns sleep so much. I actually feel like I get a couple of things done most days! So far, Tate has been a pretty good baby. He seems fussier than what Landon was, but still decently easy to console. Landon seems to be adjusting, but seems somewhat annoyed at times with the lack of attention he gets when we're having to pay attention to Tate. I haven't taken them anywhere by myself yet. The idea of it sounds overwhelming to me!!
Physically, I'm feeling quite good. Not ready to go out and start running, but feeling very good for having given birth a little over 2 weeks ago.

The boys had their routine check-ups this week. Landon had his 18-month check-up. He's around the 50th percentile for his age when it comes to his size. That's kinda been his trend for awhile. He seems right on track and maybe even slightly advanced in some areas developmentally. No, I don't think I have a child-genius on my hands, but he's doing quite well.

Tate had his 2-week check-up. He weighed in at 11lbs. 5 oz. Guess I don't have to worry if he's getting enough to eat. Typically, at this point, they usually still weigh their birth weight since they lose some weight those first days. Needless to say, he rates in the 95th percentile in weight and he's off the chart with heighth at 23 inches. He's eating well. Sleeping as expected for his age (meaning I still get up and nurse every 3 hours or so at night). We're working on getting him on a "schedule" of sorts. It worked very well to put Landon on a schedule and made his eating/sleeping very predictable for us. Scheduling may sound a bit rigid for a baby, but it makes life easier for all of us and I'm too organized/detailed not to. :)
