Through a smudged lens

I learned something new this past week. When there is a smudge/fingerprint on your camera lens, all of your pictures will turn out poorly. Duh. Not rocket science, I know, but still I was baffled for several days as to why my camera was taking poor pictures. I'm glad it was just a smudge and I don't need a new camera!

Here's some pics from having some teenagers over for a baking day. All pictures include a smudged lens and are blurry. I do not know if it was my smudgy fingerprint that was the culprit or that of my small, grabby children. But I know how to fix the problem now if my pictures start turning out like this again.
