Door County, WI

So, we just got back from an enjoyable few days in Door County, WI. Very relaxing and laid back. We went with Bill and Angie, who have connections for a quaint little cabin along the Lake. We had fun exploring the towns, having bonfires, combing the beach, riding bikes, and just hanging out.

We rode the S.S.Badger carferry across the lake. And if you've seen the new Pirates movie and are at all like me....well, I envisioned that scary big sea creature showing up in the middle of Lake Michigan and taking our ship down. Thankfully, it did not and we arrived home safely.

Thanks Bill and Ang for a great vacation!
Here's a few pictures for everyone to enjoy......

Here's Bill and Ang on the "Crazy Hat Night"...they really are a cute couple. :)

Here's Adam relaxing next to one of our evening fires. And no, he doesn't normally wear hats like that.

Hey, and on another note.....somehow our profile/links/other stuff that is usually on the upper right part of our page is all the way at the bottom of our page....and I don't know how it got I don't have a clue as how to fix it.....any ideas?

the fact that at the trip you envisioned the krakken (or whatever the spelling for the monster is) makes you a pessimist perhaps; but then again the more people i meet everyday the more i realize that more than 99% percent of all people are more or less pessimists.

Hmmm....I don't think I'm a pessimist....I just have a vivid and active imagination. We all have a little bit of a pessimist in us at some point. Overall, I have a hope that never quits though. :)

Looks like a fun vacation. We rode the SS Badger 2 years ago and Dan loved it. Alyssa was 15 months old and kept wiping out all over the ship. Just couldn't quite get her sea legs. About the sidebar - it happens because the column with the posts is too wide, probably from pictures. Why it lets you position your pictures in a way that is too wide, I have no idea. But if you change your pictures so they are one on top of the other in a vertical line, it will probably correct itself. At least that was my experience.
