Going in different directions.....

Last week, Landon and I went on the Strahm '08 Family Vacation with my family. We headed to beautiful Silver Lake, MI. The weather was great and we had a lot of good times. We were fortunate to have the use of 2 cottages from some friends. We enjoyed lots of time hanging out with my parents and my 3 brothers and their families. Here are a few pics......

We went horseback riding one day. This is my horse, Mick. Landon rode with Grandma in a wagon.

This is Jon and his kids building a sandcastle...or maybe they're trying to build some more sand dunes. (Silver Lake has some excellent sand dunes).

My parents getting ready to go out for a romantic dune ride at sunset. (I won't mention that they got stuck and nearly buried in sand....oops, I mentioned it.).

Enjoying the pool....OK, Landon wasn't so hot about it yet. The water was a little cool.

I didn't drive. I just rode. And I only got a little bit of sand in my mouth as my brother took it easy on me.

Landon and uncle Dan enjoying some time under the playmat.

4-year old Kendra concentraing very hard on her mini-golf put.

And while we were there, Adam was leading a missions trip to Mexico with our church. Unfortunately, at this time, I don't have any pictures of their time there, but here's a picture of Adam recovering on the couch. He doesn't know I took this picture...hehehehe.....The group did a VBS program as an outreach in one neighborhood and also spent some time at an orphanage. The group travelled in a bus and drove straight thru the night, thus the reason why Adam is recovering on the couch.

In the future, we prefer to not take vacations away from one another, but scheduling that was out of our hands caused us to do so. But it is nice to be back together again. Landon's happy about it. Here he is smiling in a cute little outfit. Moments after this picture was taken, he had an explosive diaper....really, I'm pretty certain that it exploded. Everywhere.

Yes, I do enjoy being back home with both of my boys, even if it means my husband is asleep on the couch and my little boy got pooh all over me.
